Speaker Bio

Anthony Ortiz is a Principal Research Science Manager at the Microsoft AI for Good Lab, where he leads applied AI research projects across Earth observation, climate and sustainability, conservation, medical imaging, and humanitarian response. His work focuses on robust and scalable AI systems for satellite imagery and geospatial data, with a particular emphasis on geospatial machine learning. He develops and deploys AI systems that transform large-scale Earth observation data into actionable insights for real-world scientific and humanitarian challenges.
